Authentic room with microwave, almost a closet and large bed and excellent breakfast to start the day. Lots of FRESHLY MADE food for meals. Stunning location in the hills coming down into a valley, right at a monumental 1200s cathedral.

We had a really good time. We stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel was quaint and fairly clean, with perfect location in the center of "sassi ". The breakfast was extensive and above average with local products, the food was local.

Gorgeous and absolutely fantastic place, I loved superfriendly personnel.
Actually everything was beautiful, my next choice again in Matera. I had 2 nights in Matera, spending the time here lovely. Stayed in inviting double room with all the modern comfort, view of Sassi, terrace. The location was stunning, relatively near a 15th-century castle. All the services were friendly. There also was free parking and amazing pool.

could be great for one night. i had an extensive and above average breakfast with live piano music, the food was local. the atmosphere created was family. it took me 5 mins to get to the bus station.
